The Northern Ireland native who moved to the United States permanently in the late 1990s has been very vocal and active in his support for U.S troops and their families through charity work and also visiting soldiers in Iraq.

Known for his quick wit and unusual sense of humor, Feherty put the jokes aside for this special occasion saying he was honored and humbled to receive his citizenship. Golf.com has the full story:
